HireUp collects only what we need to match candidates with roles and to run AI interview practice. This policy explains what that is, how it's stored, and the controls you have.
Information we collect
Account info (email, name), resume data you upload, interview transcripts and audio, coding-challenge submissions, and basic usage analytics. We don't collect anything we don't use.
How we use it
To generate AI interviews, score your performance, match you with roles, and improve the product. Your resume and transcripts are never shared with employers unless you explicitly apply to a role.
Sharing and disclosure
We share data with subprocessors that power core features (LLM providers, speech-to-text, cloud hosting). We do not sell your data, and we do not use your sessions to train third-party models.
Data retention
Resume and interview data stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting your account removes the originals within 30 days and all derived data (scores, embeddings) within 90 days.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data from Settings at any time. EU/UK users additionally have access, rectification, and portability rights under GDPR — email us to exercise them.
Security
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited to employees who need it to operate the service. We log access and review it regularly.
